Goodson spends the weekend with AHDRA

Goodson Tools and Supplies attended the All Harley Drag Racing Event at Gateway Speedway located in St . Louis MO during the weekend of April 17-20th. We are contingency sponsors for the S&S Pro Stock and Pro Modified classes. After driving 500 miles and dodging a large rare earthquake that shook the midwest on Thursday April 17 we set up our spot on the midway at the race track. Friday was a complete wash out as it rained all day long. Saturday came around and the clouds cleared up and the races began. Going on to Sunday the weather turned out great. A nice hot sunny day and the grandstands were filled with eagar fans to watch smoky burnouts and bikes blazing down the track. We were fortunate to attend one of the races where the track record was broken. The original record was 225 mph on two wheels (well the drag bikes are mostly on one wheel). The new record was set at 245 mph at 6.4 seconds in a quarter mile. What a sight to see. In between the races as the stands cleared out we were able to talk with our customers and the race teams to discuss their processes and how our tools are involved.

Goodson Annual Chili Cook off

Each year the Goodson crew celebrates the first day of spring with bright shirts and a warm chili cook off.
Because lets face it we are in Minnesota and the temperature in March is usually COLD. Just because there is green grass does not mean that the temperature outside is spring like. However we are located in Minnesota and a balmy 38 degrees means time to break out the shorts and T-shirts. The cook off started in 1997 and only two of our members were cooking off. Since then the numbers have increased and our employees wanted to see who they could make sweat. So the pots of Chili increased each year along with the amount of Chili powder. This years winner is Nancy in our purchasing Department.
