Team Half Fast finishes the 2015 Season strong
When I started writing this newsletter months ago, we were just back home and settling in for the winter. Our 4-week-long trip for the last two races was a lot of fun and a lot of hard work – especially for Chip! It’s not easy taking care of a Maus. Well, this Maus, anyway. Many moons have gone by since…
During our last newsletter, we were enjoying our stay at Tennessee’s Cumberland Mountain State Park. I put together a page with some really great photos from this trip. You can view it here (http://www.teamhalffast.com/CumbOct2015.html). It was such a beautiful start to our time away from the rain!
From there we went on to our annual pilgrimage to the Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley, North Carolina, where we visited Dale and Trish Walksler and their incredible staff. We once again were treated to wonderful stories and sights and sounds and smells that exist no where else all together! The Wheels is such a magical place for me. As soon as we left I started looking forward to when we could return again – always new things to experience, new stories to hear, new displays to see. I’ve put together a page with some photos from our stay. You can view it here(http://www.teamhalffast.com/WTTOct2015.html ).
From there we went on to the AMRA 2015 Finals – the Jim McClure Nitro Nationals in Rockingham, North Carolina. We were THRILLED to have Nate Thompson with Super V Cycles with us, too. It was cool weather and we made LOTS of power. Read all about our race weekend in the article below.
And, now, we are preparing for our TWELTH season of racing! We’re making quite a few changes to our program and we hope to be able to announce soon our official sponsors for the 2016 racing season. In the meantime, we would like to take a moment to thank our 2015 sponsors and supporters:
Wheels Through Time Museum
Vital Virtual Services
Camping World of Belleville, Michigan
and Nate Thompson of Super V Cycles
As always, please feel free to contact us (there’s a link at the bottom of this page) if you have any suggestions or comments for our newsletter. Feel free, too, to forward this on to those you think would enjoy it and encourage them to join our mailing list.
