Maintain proper spring clearance with valve spring shims

Refacing valves and grinding or cutting valve seats causes metal loss, which in turn, causes loss of spring pressure. To restore the proper spring tension, you must replace the lost material. The fastest and easiest way to do this is to install a Valve Spring Booster Shim under the spring.
